Our Story
I have been parenting theater kids for over fifteen years. My two oldest children are now adults, and both work professionally in the theater and performing industries. My third child has been performing since age five and has recently completed a National Broadway Tour as well as a handful of other professional contracts. When he started, I knew nothing about parenting an actor and felt lost, frustrated, and anxious to learn as much as I could about how everything worked. Over the years, I have gained enough knowledge to serve as a “go-to” person within my community and beyond. I’m here to help other parents like me learn what they need to know without having to start from scratch, as I did.
Theater Parents -What are they saying about working with me?
“I first met Abby a few years ago when my daughter was just starting out in musical theatre. At the time, I didn’t know many people and had no idea where to start with auditions. From day one, Abby was incredibly kind, welcoming, and generous with her time. She’s always ready to listen, guide, and encourage. While the entertainment world can often feel competitive and overwhelming, it’s such a breath of fresh air to know there are genuinely kind and supportive, resourceful people like Abby!”
“I am so thankful for the opportunity to meet with Abby and talk all things theatre! She provided clear, practical next steps we could take in my daughter’s theater journey. I have a better idea of ways to prepare self-tapes, audition materials, and where to look for audition opportunities. She also shared her experience of being on the road with her son and how they made it work for their family as a whole. She is super experienced, knowledgeable, and down-to-earth! Thank you, Abby!”
“Meeting with Abby gave me valuable insight into how to best support my daughter in her theater journey. She shared her experiences and advice as a seasoned theater mom, offering helpful guidance for parents at every stage—from beginner to Broadway. Her practical tips and encouragement made the process feel much more approachable, and I highly recommend connecting with her!”
